The design is set out on two levels; On the lower ground floor is a double height dining hall space that is served by a kitchen. The lower ground floor sits on the same level as the existing English Block and is embedded into the landscape facing the road. This creates a sunken courtyard that is bound by a terraced gabion wall. The training facility has a dedicated entrance positioned between the existing English Block and the new building. This lobby also provides an internal link.

The upper ground floor level houses the training facilities which serve a community restaurant and outdoor terrace. Public access to the restaurant is gained via a stepped/ramped entrance which journeys through the landscape.
